CVL Engineers was retained by Jarrett Seatter to help with the structural design and necessary permit drawings for his new cabin. Careful consideration had to be made for the design to account for it’s unique requirements: sporadic occupancy, no sanitary system, and requirement to not have a basement.
We developed a design based on piles and grade beams in order to eliminate the requirement for a basement, and coordinate the septic system design so that it integrated with the final cabin placement. Permit drawings were completed per local jurisdiction requirements, and passed through without any revisions.
